All flash and no dash,
This review is from: HP Envy 100 e-All-in-One D410a Printer (CN517A#B1H) (Office Product)
Was so excited about this product and the new upgraded look and design. The printing per page is expensive, however, even that is not a drawback when the sleek presentation is considered. The problem with it is that the touch screen does not come on when the printer is turned on. The result is that all those new APPS are not usable. Additionally, it means that the command to copy is not accessible. In fact, any command that is only available through the touch screen cannot be utilized. The printer works perfectly well when accessed through the computer, notwithstanding, without the touch screen, there is no way to manually control and command the printer. Until the glitch with the touch screen failing to come on when the printer is turned on is dealt with, this product does perform over half of the jobs that it is supposed to do. Basically, this product is not what it should be in light of the touch screen failure. Many phones are touch screen capable, including my own, and there is no excuse for the failure of it in a printer. Support for this issue from HP is negligible since they answer that the product must be replaced. Occasionally, when the touch screen actually "wakes up" this printer is a dream and lots of fun to use.

Envious for an ENVY 100?,

If you are looking for a printer that is sleek, slick, smart, efficient, smooth and a dream to use, then this HP Printer should be your first and only choice. It is wireless and can print from anywhere in your house with other wireless devices. The included Software cannot be used on a mac, but help from the HP team solved that glitch for me. One small downside is that if the power switches off, I have to reprogram the wireless set-up. But that is no big deal, and as I have not programmed my Windows OS laptop (as yet) I cannot say if this happens only with my new iMac. |
