I got this unit and was disappointed with the range. In short...It sucked.
Unless the unit was right beside the transmitting device it was unreliable.

I went on the internet and found a simple fix.

You have to carefully and gently slip a knife in the seam and separate the"lid" (mine popped off easily) exposing a circuit board which lifts off (not glued or fastened) a small peg. On the bottom you'll find a metal plate which serves no purpose except to add weight for perceived substance. This piece of metal also creates a lot of interference which severely limits the range of the signal.
The metal plate is mounted with double-sided tape. Pull it off and discard you don't need it. Replace the circuit board in the original position and glue the "lid back on. Airplane/model glue seemed to work or hot glue would work.
Don't be shy, it's not rocket science, heck it's not even electronics and barely arts and crafts.

Once the modification is complete, you'll be amazed at the difference a little "Do It Yourself" will make. This little beauty will exceed your expectations. In a straight line with no obstacles I got a range of up to 50+ft and previous interference from obstacles like people and walls is greatly reduced if not eliminated.
This fix took about 3 1/2 minutes once I got frustrated enough and built up enough confidence to attempt the fix. If you bought this unit and were disappointed, don't fret and attempt the fix. You won't be sorry.

Hopefully Belkin will fix this silly little flaw. It is otherwise a great little receiver.
Also, it would be nice if the unit had a rechargeable power source for portability.

Simplifies the connection of my phone for sound but really crap quality sound going over bluetooth. Didn't know BT sound quality was so poor. Wouldn't recommend using BT for sound. Get a WIFI product instead.

Listening to music is probably not a problem but if you`re watching movies and you connect your PC to your home theatre, the lip sync is not sync. There is a a bit delay. Also, when you first start it, you will here noise like it is being disconnected. Bottom line, for music listening it is working fine but for video, it is not.

It's a nice device to recycle old pc speakers that don't belong to a pc anymore...
Just plug it in, pair your device and you now have Bluetooth speakers for a fraction of the price

This is a good product to have if you need to enable an existing sound system to be able to connect with Bluetooth devices. Very easy to setup and it works great!

having read other reviews, i purchased this product at a discount, expecting little, and that's exactly what i got. it sits in a corner of a 14'x22' room, and the signal drops when i walk over to the other side of the same room. But that's what i was lead to expect.

it's a two star product, but third star for being cheap(er).

So far works great. Losing signal if I'm two rooms away and interfere with three walls, but otherwise it gives a good connection with my audio system.

I bought it and was so frustrated with it's very pour quality of distance I smashed it and pitched it off into the bush!! you would be lucky to walk 5 feet away before it starts to cut out!!! DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!! I run a retail store that sells Belkin products and I could not figure out why WE didn't stock this...NOW I know why.

I bought this product without any advice. Excellent product, good reception and quality sound, my friends like it too.

We have an iPhone, iPad and Samsung Galaxy Note using this. Set up was easy. You have to use the audio in cables that come with the Belkin and not yours. I tried and I just heard snow. After using the Belkin cables, it worked easy peasy. That said, the sound on alot of songs sound like I'm listening to it through a tin can. The treble/voice was really hollow and soft and the bass was overwhelming in some songs. Others the vocals were generally too soft.

i.e. try playing Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys feat Nicky Minaj. Sounds horrible. And it is not the stereo set up because if I change no settings and plug my device right into the stereo it sounds awesome.

So from a convenience perspective, it's cool to be able to sit on the couch and pick my music. From an enjoying rich sound on my expensive stereo, it sucks.

As well, you HAVE to disconnect from Belkin from one device to connect another. A bit annoying. These features are probably why the Apple store decided to drop it. I can imagine all the returns they got when apple users heard the sound. But since I have a Galaxy, couldn't buy one of those overpriced, locked-into Apple pieces of ...
