A morose collection,

I listened to this once so far so this is early days in the life of this album and I have to say as a longtime Alison fan this strikes me as probably her weakest album. Usually on every album of hers there is at least one song of incredible beauty that just jumps out at you, but there isn't one here. It may very well be kind of a mood type album that has to grow on you but so far I don't particularly like the mood.

I found this album in 2012 through a HiFi download recorded in 24/96 (high resolution) and it sounds really fantastic. I usually don't listen to Bluegrass but really got hooked to that album. There are not many albums in my collection which I enjoy listening from the beginning to the end but this one is definitely worth it.A fantastic combination of a great voice and talented musicians.

Another awesome cd from Allison and her team! My favourite is the second song about dust bowl children, so haunting.
