5.0 out of 5 stars Possibly Game of the Year
Don't listen to any idiots who rate this 1 star, cause this game is nothing short of incredible. The combat is even better than in AA, you no longer feel restrained as now you have a giant chunk of city to explore, the environments are all well done and give off so many nods to the Batman universe, and the voice acting is once again top notch. 3.0 out of 5 stars Too many bugs and no redeem code for Cat Woman!
Despite all the fantastic reviews it received I can only give it 3 stars.

First of all, there was no redeeming code to get the downloadable cat woman. Secondly, way too many bugs in this game to make it playable. In addition, some players are receiving Disc Read Error even after the update not to mention a Downloadable Content Issue in the middle of a game...

3.0 out of 5 stars Too many bugs and no redeem code for Cat Woman!, Jan 4 2012
Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Batman: Arkham City (Video Game)
Despite all the fantastic reviews it received I can only give it 3 stars.

First of all, there was no redeeming code to get the downloadable cat woman. Secondly, way too many bugs in this game to make it playable. In addition, some players are receiving Disc Read Error even after the update not to mention a Downloadable Content Issue in the middle of a game play. Apparently there is a patch in the works but no date given as to when this will be.

It is disappointing since this was a Christmas gift for my husband. Despite his minimal game play the he enjoyed it immensely and loved the graphics. Hopefully WB Games will get these issues resolved.

In the end I had to return the game for a refund.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best superhero video game of all time, Oct 24 2011
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

I could go on and on about how amazing this game is. But we already know this if you played the first one. If you are a batman fan, or a video game fan...in any way...this game is a must get.

Everything in this game was an improvement from the first. Possibly my favorite game. Not much add on content for it though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great campaign and characters, Mar 5 2012
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Batman: Arkham City (Video Game)
great game, loved the first one and this is obiovusly an improvement. The best new addition is being able to basically fly around arkham city. besides that you have all of the good things from the first one like the great fighting mechanics, very cool characters, and different playing techniques like straight up hand to hand combat, detective mode, puzzles, and boss fights. There are tons of upgrades you get from earning xp so your constantly gaining new items and abilites to create different combos and attacks over the course of the gane. The story mode was really fun, i liked the level with the dead cop t-shirts and the shark, and after you complete the campaign there will be some side missions left to do or a bunch of riddle trohpies to collect, although you could do that while your playing the campaign as well. I didnt bother collecting all the riddler trophies because i found it kind of boring after a while but i did like that a lot of them were kind of like puzzles you had to solve before you could collect them so that made it a little more interesting than just looking around for stuff. All in all it was definatly a top notch game that i enjoyed playing all the way through and would highly recommend it for anyone who doesnt mind not having any online or multiplayer modes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastical, Nov 9 2011

Greatest video game ever. Period. Someone mentioned Uncharted 3 being better? It took me 12 hours to complete Uncharted. U3 has nice graphics and storyline but mostly cinematics and very little gameplay.I've got over 60 hours invested in Arkham city and I'm only a third of the way through. Action! Excitement! Graphics! Great gameplay and all the characters fan-boys will love. The only criticism I have is the fact that Catwoman has to be downloaded. Come on Rockstar/PS3, we don't all play on-line you know!!!!!!

I loved Batman Arkham Asylum, so it was logical that I would jump on Arkham City! Everything that was great from Arkham Asylum is back with some enhancement! Detective mode isn't so "blue" anymore, so you can at least appreciate a little more then environment! I also love that they have recreated part of Gotham and it feel huge and alive! You'd sometime surprise thieves talking to each other while exploring the city! I do have to say that this game has bugs that irritates me. Every game session that I've went through froze after some gaming time...something that feels like every 30-45 minutes or so. I'm sure they will make a patch for it, but it's just annoying. I have the PS3 slim 160Gb edition. I don't know if it is related to that model in particular or not. I think it is the same bug, since I simply need to eject the disk and restart. Still, I enjoy the game enough not to let this bug drag it down too much! Well worth the wait for the patch!

The gameplay is terrible, the fighting engine even worst, don't be fooled by the reviews out there, the game is boring as hell. You end up always being cought not knowing what to do.

The game is just terrible, it as great graphics and that's it. Thank god for uncharted 3 that is coming out next month that will erase this terrible boring game.
