We received one of these units as a Christmas gift. Looks very nice. The record player played fine. The sound quality was adequate, but not great. But the CD player skipped almost every CD we tried to play on it. So we called the support organization to see what we could do.

We contacted Bluetronics (as instructed in the enclosed literature), who gave us contact info for a local dealer in the GTA (who, BTW, wasn't great at returning calls). I finally arranged to drop the unit off for repair. When I arrived and explained the problem, they decided to replace the unit.

The new unit is even worse. We tried the record player first, and it immediately started skipping. I tried another record, and the same thing happened. I then tried the CD player, which the repair shop apparently tested, and it skipped on the second track of the first CD I tried, similar to the first unit.

I could not be more disappointed with a product. I will be pursuing a full refund as soon as I can.

Every record I play on it skips, even after having switched cartridges. It's possible I'm missing something but it's tough to get a closer look because the lid will only lift a couple inches up so you can barely reach the back of the turntable never mind look at it straight down. (mine won't open nearly as wide as the one in the picture here is shown doing). During moments when a record isn't skipping it still doesn't sound right. I agree with the other review, it sounds distant instead of rich like on my other record players. The steady skipping makes it tough to judge speed, but that also might explain it.

The record player arrived with the cd facade already hanging off from some accident. That was the first cue. When I started the actual player itself, listening to a newly acquired record, the sound was distant, and not in the classic, appealing likind of way. Also, the speeds of the player are simply wrong. Every record that I had was distorted and abrasive to hear. Don't buy this item.

The speakers give great, clear sound, and the turntable (the main reason I bought this) is perfect. Easy to use, and perfect sound even on 30+ year old records.
I'd deffinately recommend this to anyone looking for a good record player.

Amazing product, very good for music like Tom Waits but less for classical stuff. Radio is a bit tricky though.

I was very happy with the sound and the quality of this turn table. The radio and CD player sound great. It is also very classic looking and can pull a room together.

Was well packaged, easy to set up and the old records sounded decent on player, cds and radio also works good
