I spent many days contemplating buying this Multi-x. I really really wanted the Fein version, but I just couldn't justify paying double. I had used a Fein a few years before and was in awe after using it. So I bought this Bosch version and I would say it's great. It worked relentlessly on a major project I was doing, never gave out or got hot or anything like that. It's very powerful. Its everything I expect a Bosch to be. Not too noisy either.

The "but" in my review is in regards to the blades. The scraper blade was my favorite, saved me hours of work, it worked perfect, however, the cutting blades were not as durable as I'd hoped as the teeth broke easily, but maybe I was a little too hard on it, I did use brute force on frustrating tasks. The blades are not cheap to replace. I did not use any of the sanding pads, so I can't say anything for them.

Great tool, got the job done, and will do many more jobs I have no doubt. Do I wish I would have bought the Fein? Yes. Why? It's a little more refined. The Bosch is like a Porsche, the Fein is like a Bentley.

This is my first oscillating tool and Bosch product that I have owned so I did not know what to expect. I'm an avid do-it-yourselfer and thought this tool would be great to have around the house for cutting through nails, cutting door trim and for sanding. Upon initial inspection, I liked the carrying case, accessory box and the tool felt solid in my hand. I recently used the tool to cut sliding closet door tracks. With the metal blade installed, it cut through the metal like butter. Installing and removing blades is very easy with the supplied Allen key. Overall, I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to a friend.

The Tool works great. I'm an aspiring carpenter so I have been using it a few times a week. I used it for a ton of stuff. ie. hard wood, bottoms of door jams and a ton of other weird stuff that is too difficult to explain. I really like the power and its a solid tool. BUT with that said:

I have used the porter cable multi tool in the past and they do go on sale sometimes for 100 bucks. They come with alot more accessories(around 20) than the bosch AND you don't need an allen key to change your accessories every time. I would recommend this one for the home owner or someone that occasionally uses it in the workplace.

I have been using this tool for only a few weeks and to cut drywall and wood. Does the job well and fast.
Much better than my mastercraft product from CT.

Easy to change the blades, bag contains solid box with the accessories which quite neat for storage.
Price was quit good as there was a rebate at the time of the purchase, made it very competitive with other stores (actually better).
Would recommend the product. Let's hope it will last, I usually buy rigid for lifetime warranty.

Smooth, quiet and strong operation compared to others I tried. Good range of speeds. Definitely the best in it's class for the price.

This tool is a must have addition to anyones tool chest. It is so versatile and if you ever have to install hardwood or laminate flooring this tool makes cutting door jambs such a breeze it's not even work. So many uses, it's money well spent...especially when you can find it on sale here.

Since getting this it has proven its value repeatedly in every job I've done. When I moved a light switch the cutter sliced through the wall smoothly and cleanly, leaving a perfect opening. Cutting a steel bar to size for another project proved extremely easy, and so was trimming off some nails and a screw in an old 2x4, But the sanding pads are my favorite. They made it easy to get into some tight awkward corners on a custom stairway I made, and they have proven excellent for sanding down the drywall putty between applications - they create way less dust then any other sanding method I have tried, and allow you to simply hold the vacuum hose with one hand and the tool in the other. Plus it lets you get right into the corners which is a great time saver.

I am very happy with it and wish I had bought one long ago.

Dont know how I lived without it. Only downside is very expensive accessories. Just finished kitchen makeover and used it to many times to count.

My husband loves it, he use's it a lot because there is just some things that this tool can do that no other tool can.
