The first one broke within days - the clips holding the element to the base just fell off. Had to pay $12 to send it back for replacement. The second top did not work period. One clip was broken when I received it. Very poor clip design for holding element to base. I would not recommend purchasing this item.

The best popcorn ever. It really does pop every kernel and in 5 minutes flat. The only down side is you have to be right there to turn it off and flip it fast or popcorn will burn. Not so fun picking those guys out. But all in all it's great.

This makes the best popcorn ever! Will never go back to airpopped... It is very easy to use and the kids love making popcorn.
I have owned it for over a year now and still love it! It is a little pricey but if you can buy it on sale it is a great buy!

It broke the second time I used it. There are plastic clips that hold the top onto the base. The clips are poor quality and break easily. I sent it to be repaired and it broke again in a week. I was very gentile with it and it is just a really poor product. Now I put a heavy weight on the top of it to hold it onto the base when I use it.

The Popper makes great popcorn; almost every kernel pops, but both clips that hold the heat element to the electrical base broke. It still seems to work without the clips...so far......but VERY poorly designed clip system. Even with the broken clip problem, it still makes the best popcorn

Nice machine, makes good popcorn... if you can avoid breaking it. Very flimsy. Clips broke after a few weeks and now the machine is useless. I wouldn't mind paying more money for something that will work.

This popcorn maker makes great popcorn. It is fun to watch since the dome is clear! However, as many have pointed out, the clips holding the heating plate to the base often break off. I've had one for about a month before the clip broke off completely, but I was able to use epoxy glue on the broken clip to fix it. Once the glue settled, I put the metal tab back into the clip then used a flat head screwdriver between the big lip of the clip and the base to push the metal clip back into place. I've also put some epoxy glue on the other clip to strengthen it. Since then, I have had no other issues with it.

If you do get this popcorn machine, or already have it, I'd suggest putting epoxy glue along the flat part of the clip, then up the outer side of the latch of the clip. You won't have any trouble after that. It's been fixed for about 4 months now, and I'm pretty rough with the clips.

Yes, the clips may break, but once you know this you can avoid stressing them the second go around. This is my second one. I love it, despite the disapointment regarding the lack of clip redesign. Regardless, carefully plop it together, a glug glug of olive oil, fill the bottom with corn, and in three minutes: perfect popcorn. Easy to clean too. Just be carefull when snapping it together. The clips....

The popper works well but it's designed in a way that makes it easy to burn yourself. When the popcorn is done, you remove the dome and the heating plate together, turn it upside down, and remove the heating plate. The plastic handles on the heating plate are OK, but it's very easy to touch the underside of the heating plate if you're not paying attention, and it is very, very hot.

This Item shipped on time and was half the price of other retailers. Cuisinart makes quality products and this popper makes perfect popcorn every time..
