After being blown out by the 5.1 mixes of The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here I was immediately disappointed reading the contents of the box that there was no Blu-Ray or at least a DVD-A with a 5.1 mix. The only reason I bought the other 2 Immersion sets was because of the awesome 5.1 mixes. The printed material, the scarf, the marbles are nice but the only reason for buying such an expensive set is for the AUDIO part. EMI should be ashamed of trying to pull a fast one with this 3 box. I'm glad I didn't open the box - it's going back tomorrow. Amazon should warn their customer's of this ugly shortcoming. And then the music industry wonders why they're in trouble!
First they butter you up with tDSotM and WYWH with the 5.1 mix and then they throw you under the bus with The Wall Immersion edition.

Having ordered this immersion box set a number of months ago, I was fully expecting a blu-ray or DVD(A) version of the album as was the case with Wish You Were Here. I was so disappointed when it arrived and all there was a CD remaster. Not good enough.

I was so disappointed that there was no DVD Audio 5.1 version of this album included in this set. After all, this is the landmark album that sent this group into the popularity of many people that otherwise would not have listened to this group like me. Hey I even bought tickets at $550 to see the wall concert when it comes to TO in June, goes to show you how important this Album was, and still is to generating money.

Yes, it was my choice to buy this box set, and after purchasing Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here and listening to it in DVD Audio, I was so looking forward to hearing the Wall in a surround remix. Why not with this Album?????? Can someone tell my why????? Quite honestly, I only purchased the other two sets because of the DVD Audio mix, and took it for granted that this box set would have it as well and did not even check. Oh well, my mistake, just goes to show, do not take things for granted.

I do not comment on any other offerings in this set, as I am not interested in them, but if you like this sort of stuff, it is kind of cool to have, but what would you actually do with it other than have it collect dust, It is not from the original tour, all remade stuff, so not collector material and even more so if you opened the box.
All I wanted was a DVD Audio 5.1 Surround remix of this album. I guess I still need to wait.

This was THE album to have when it first came out. Unfortunately as I listen to it now, I see how much filler is on it!! I never realized it before.
Yes, you get a handful of absolute classic songs ("Comfortably Numb", "Hey You", "Run Like Hell"). But man, "Another Brick..(part 2) just sounds laughably dated now!!!!
The rest...filler. Nice for nostalgic purposes, but don't believe the hype. "Wish You Were Here" is better

As far as the CD goes, Pink Floyd was/is great - no issue with the content, however, the packaging of this cd is REALLY CHEAP - no case just a cardboard folder - come on folks, for $20 at least have a proper jewel case!!!!!

Sorry for anyone who may like this album, but this is where Waters meets his end. All those who like this album are indeed entitled to their opinions, but, in my opinion, Waters lost his touch. The lyrics have lost the warmth and feel they had in Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon. "We don't need no education." Just not the same as "We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl."
I think this was Pink Floyd's lowest point and where Waters really overindulged to the point of his break-away from the band.
Since it's so expensive due to the double-discs, i wouldn't recommend wasting the money.

I remember this was the cool album that all the stoners and high school kids listened to and analyzed to death way back when. I will always think of Pink Floyd as one of THE most over-rated rock groups of the 70s. Some of the songs on The Wall were just okay, but really, the whole thing is one drawn-out tedious experience for insecure high schoolers to cling to as the "greatest rock album ever". Give me a friggin break! Eventually, you graduate from high school and grow up and move on to better things, including better music. People who still praise The Wall album as the best thing in the world are just stuck in the past. I can't think of any group more depressing, overblown, overhyped, slow and boring as Pink Floyd. 90% of their material will either put you to sleep or just depress you or put you in a bad mood. Dark Side Of The Moon is another over-rated, over-hyped project that was a 70s staple on classic rock radio. This is one group i would be happy if i never heard one song from ever again. Pink Floyd is a group you need to be stoned to listen to anyway, and i can think of 500 other cds i'd rather hear stoned than anything by Pink Floyd. I'm glad to hear that they were on a recent university list of the most over-rated and over-hyped rock groups ever. I totally agree 100%.

This is the most overrated album in all of rock and roll. This is Pink Floyd's WORST album bay far. Nothing compared to Wish You Were Here, Meddle, or Dark Side. Now, it does have some good material(Happiest Days of Our Live/Another Brick Part II, In The Flesh, Is There Anybody Out There) and even a three really great songs(Comfortably Numb, Hey You, Mother) But this album is way too long. I can barely stay awake when I put it on. Roger Waters may actually do a good job of telling the story he sets out to tell. The problem is, by the end of this grueling over 100 minute recording, nobody cares. It is so hypocritical to hear millionaire rock stars singing about rebelling against education. This album is was way too ambitious and way too dull to be even listenable.

From the moment i heard the horrible song "Mother" i didn't want to hear any more of this band. But,unfortunatly my friend was listening to this cd and as i thought, this cd was really bad.I don't really know why people like Pink Floyd. All of the songs are slow, boring, and i couldn't find the "message" that people say it has. After my listening experience of a half hour of PinkFloyd i don't want to hear it again.

I guess every band should, at least once in their career, put out a mediocre and erratic self indulgent double album. The Beatles did, and here we have Stink Floyd's entry.
"Another Brick in the Wall" is good, but sorry, it can't carry the whole album. 1-star.
