Is it just me, or does Walt remind you a little of Ned Flanders from the Simpsons? That is, if Ned turned 180 degrees into evil. In the fourth season Walt personifies the end justifies the means, as he is still under the illusion that all he does is for the good of his family (rather than say, for his ego). The writing and dialogue of season four is still top-notch, as the series progresses down its dark path. The series has been compared favorably with two other excellent, but dark series- The Sopranos and The Wire. I agree that its writing and characters are on the same level as those other two shows, as is its exploration of the darker moral areas of human behavior. Fortunately for fans of the show, the fourth season continues strongly, proving that Breaking Bad hasn't "jumped the shark" quite yet. There are plenty of plot twists, surprises, and lots of action as Walt continues to flirt with being the protagonist and the antagonist on the show because at times, you feel like rooting for him, other times, against him. I won't post any further plot details as it's definitely worth keeping the suspense if you can.

The Blu-Ray version is crisp and clear, just like the HD version of the show. Overall, if you are a fan of dark dramas, crime shows, or simply engaging TV, this is an excellent choice. The subject matter and content are not kid-friendly, but it is not quite R-rated either. I like that it is not simply based on gore and shock value (like some later Dexter episodes), but rather the strength of the writing and characters still carries the show. Highly recommended.

This series is awesome. It is a must to see and stay tuned for season 5 starting July 15th.
Jesse and Walt perform brilliantly in this season and you are always waiting for more excitement
to come. A must buy.

One of the best shows in a long time. Bryan Cranston, of course, is amazing but so is the rest of the cast. Well done.

It just keeps getting weirder and weirder. Again the extra commentary is interesting and adds to the whole thing. Can't wait for the last season.

It's funny, scary and exciting!

I am hooked on this series. Fabulous acting. All about the drug trade in New Mexico. The lead guy is a school teacheer who gets cancer. He is desperate to make enough money for his family after he dies but does not earn enough as a teacher. He starts making drugs and becomes such an expert that everyone wants him to work for them. He gets more and more into the drug world, becoming more and more like them.

Definitely worth watching

I thought there was no way that the writers could top the story lines of season 3. Well, guess again. Just when you think you've seen it all, you realize OMG, I can't believe they did that.
