I very much enjoyed and loved every single track on the album. Some of my favourites would be "If I Had A Gun," "AKA... Broken Arrow," and "Dream On." I had the pleasure of seeing him perform live when he came to my town, and the songs sounded even better live.

This album showcases Noel Gallagher's writing, playing and singing talents. It is not Oasis and that's fine. It's a great album and well worth a listen, even if you're not an Oasis fan.

Noels High flying birds is quite possiblly the best album of 2011. Choice tracks are Aka...What a life, Everybodys on the run, and If i had a gun. Proves that his writing and music are just as well done as it was in Oasis (if not better) A must buy.

I haven't listened to this Noel Gallagher CD yet, but I do have this CD, as I'm still waiting for its companion album, the one thats supposed to be " PSYCHEDELIC " to come out so I can have a Noel Gallagher listening party, but word is that the " PSYCHEDELIC " album won't be out until 2013. So I guess i have to wait awhile but by then it'll be like a fine wine or a bottle of absinth or a bit of the vintage four twenty party smoke.

Well now it looks like the "PSYCHEDELIC" album will never come out so against my better judgement i finally listenened to this album, AUGUST 2012, and it wasn't that great, theres nothing really special about it. I'm not saying its out and out bad but i expected a lot more and a lot better. None of the songs really stood out and none of ther lyrics were that great but there were moments of intrest and for someone who plays a guitar theres not a lot of guitar work on this album. Also a lot of it sounds cluttered, as if they're trying to fit to much into to short an amount of time, to many instruments ETC.

And to make matters even worse, Noel now says that he's going to take 5 years off, so it will be a long time before we hear from him again, so if its almost 2013 and we add 5 years onto that it wont be until 2018 that he releases another album, thanks Noel, thanks a bunch.

Its worth listening to out of curiosity if your a Noel Gallagher or OASIS fan but for me the songs just sounded like unreleased OASIS B-Sides.

Since Noel was the primary songwriter of Oasis I expected this to sound very Oasis, but he has taken it in a new direction; it isn't even similar to his solo acoustic B-Sides from Oasis. That's not neccesarily a bad thing and my opinion may change with further listening but, overall, it is a very bland album. A bit too light. No real barn burners or songs that stand out as potential hits.
