Canon PIXMA MG8220 Wireless Inkjet Photo All-In-One Printer/Scanner (5293B002)

This is my second Canon PIXMA printer my first being a MP640. I can go from printing documents to photos simply by opening the rear feeder and inserting photo paper. The MG8220 is capable of scanning negatives and slides, a feature very valuable to me as I have hundreds of 35mm negatives which the printer will scan and leave you with a positive "picture" on your computer. Of a strip of 6 negatives you can scan just the ones you choose. It does a fine job of printing documents including duplex, that is it will print on both sides without having to reinsert the paper. Complete menus and guides both on the desktop and printer allow for easy choices to make it do what you want. There are many other features but these are the ones that are, at the moment, most important to me. I guess I'm really stuck on the Canon printer.

I bought this printer as a replacement for PIXMA iP6600D, which worked great until the moment I did damaged it carelessly.
The new one Canon Pixma MG 8220 is much bigger, everything is working properly, the only issue in my opinion is that canon response time is very slow, even slower then my old one.
