Hugo arrives at blu ray with MPEG-4 AVC 1080p 1.78:1 encode. This transfer is beautifully detailed. Clarity is astonishing. Details far and wide -- whether in the train station or as seen in the overhead shots of Paris -- are spectacularly sharp and crisp. Close-up detailing is even more amazing. Not only are facial texture marvellous and clothing...

Honestly Hugo is dull, boring and I don't see any sort of innovation coming out of this film, other than being shot in 3D. Story is typical; if you grow up with various sci-fi movies, you'll fall asleep within the first 5 minutes, which I did.

Ce film se veut un hommage au cinéma de Georges Méliès.Le film ,du point de vue visuel, est magnifique.Les 2 jeunes acteurs sont très bons et Ben Kingsley est touchant dans le rôle de Méliès.Intéressant!

Thought this would be entertaining for my son. He fell asleep 1/2hr later .. tried to watch it and mid way had to shut it off. Way too slow .. I appreciate cinema but sorry this was not my cup of tea.
