this was a gift to my grandson and he has told me that he is absolutely enjoying the game. he is a huge hockey fan and likes the graphics etc.

Lots of fun, its challenging, so hard to win a game. Guess we will have to keep practicing! Good news is there are lots of practice modes. Best thing about this game is the graphics and motion of the players.

great game lots of fun a must buy. fast delivery. a must have for your collection. 1-8 players good for the whole family. plus a bonus 3 on 3 arcade

NHL 13 doesn't come in as the best from EA sports but the faster skating and being able to pull away from a d-man if he's caught flat footed is more realistic. I still don't like the AI's ability to completely leave forwards open in front of the net. The game has better touches like prior to faceoffs seeing the side angle camera view or the behind the goalie camera view. I find the game slow, loading from the PS3 screen is slowww and after exiting a game to get back to the main screen is also a bore. We may be getting to the PS3's last couple years of being a good machine with the way titles are more and more complex for the system. The grafics are great. Overall a decent upgrade from last year's version.

Same great game, not much has changed other than the skating and the maneuvering of the puck is far more realistic. The big con is I find that it lags intensely, especially when playing online.

The game itself is not bad, I just got it and still trying to figure it out but the 2 things I have noticed is that the checking is alot softer then NHL11 and I put the fighting all the way up and can't get anybody to drop the gloves. Hopefully this gets better!

but if you can get by it of course the new engine is a lot of fun hence the 5 star rating.
Goalies and A.I. have been ameliorated and many other little things like adding a captain to your Ultimate Team.
The HUD is poorly designed compared to last year, the team-editing screen is rather slower, game-play is slower than the already slowed down NHL12, but I really had a blast filling my opponent's net, because there is no lag.
The glitches are that it froze while loading the shop, then upon restart froze again while loading HUT.
9/10 because of the HUD
