On first listen, this might strike you as less exciting than their previous album, but listen again and you'll find it mightily rewarding. There may be less visceral excitement, but a lot more interesting musical ideas.

First heard it on a AC flight from YYZ to Shanghai with a few painkillers / beers in my system and DAMN did I ever get into it.Bought it from amazon year or so later and it holds up great. Chick has a great voice and it benefits from a 'less is more' when it comes to the electronica etc...

I have liked the last few Metric albums less than their first couple. They are getting a more mainstream, "clubby" sound that I'm not a fan of. Still, I don't dislike it; just don't love it like Old World Underground & Monster Hospital.

I'm a huge Metric fan. This is certainly not their worst album, but not their best either. It's worth having, no doubt.
