I'm starting to appreciate more and more's Hans Zimmer's work over the years but I'm afraid his work on the last chapter is the weakest of the three. Still a good listen, lots of percussions, he like to experiment on instruments, which is enjoyable. He reminds me a lot like Elliot Goldenthal, you don't always hear an instrument but an eerie atmosphere done with very specific instruments. Not for every one. A must to own, especially if your a collector.

This is not to be missed by any great music lover. Zimmer shines with this one. Could listen to it all day...sometimes I do!

The haunting tones of this musical masterpiece stirs the soul. You can feel which cues are designed for which character without having to look at the menu. Excellent companion piece to the other two soundtracks from The Dark Knight Trilogy.

This totally reeks of awesomeness! I am taken into the world of the film when I listen to it! Buy it!

This soundtrack is epic! This is Hans Zimmer at is best! It's so good that it deserve a 5 stars rating!

Although in my opinion the soundtrack does not match the others, it is still truly incredible. There are more than a few incredible songs, that really made the movie as amazing as it was!

I've only listened to the CD once, but quite enjoyed it.

However, I am upset by information read on amazon.com and wikipedia that there were 7 more tracks made available only online and even more upset that this supposedly enhanced CD doesn't seem to be able to access 3 of these, as it's supposed to be designed to do. There is no download code that came with this CD and no information about the website from which to access these 3 tracks that American fans report being able to do. When I insert the CD into my computer, nothing special or "enhanced" happens. It's very likely that Universal Canada botched the manufacturing of this CD. For years, Universal Canada has been damaging booklets with several dents along the spine of CD booklets, providing cheaply made packaging for DVD sets (compared to US counterparts), and scratching DVDs badly (sometimes with concentric circles) to the point of them barely working on DVD players. In the case of "Friday Night Lights Season 1," I managed to get Universal Canada to order replacement discs from the US, but then, when I called back for the same problems with Seasons 2 and 3, that phone line was disconnected. So, for the last few years, Universal Canada phone lines and websites don't respond to pleas from fans of defective products, as they falsely advertize. This bungling of "The Dark Knight Rises" is only the latest example of Canadian manufacturing incompetence. It's time Universal Music just export its products to Canada and not trust its deceitful, incompetent manufacturing base in Toronto.
