VIDEO (2D):

Men In Black 3 (MiB 3) arrives at blu ray with MPEG-4 AVC 1080p 1.85:1 encode. This outstanding transfer dazzles in every frame. The image is remarkably clean and naturally filmic. Light grain reinforces beautifully crisp edges and razor-sharp details. Viewers will enjoy precision facial and clothing textures that reveal every line, pore, and crease with natural accuracy. The modern-sleek 2012 MiB tech and the organic throwback 1960s elements are the beneficiary of unbeatable detailing that brings every nuance, each crevice, and all minor elements within to striking life. From glossy plastics to natural green vegetation, there's no element that's not accurately reproduced down to the slightest line or fiber. Likewise, the colour palette dazzles. Whether the trademark black and white MiB suits or the colourful Coney Island amusement park structures and rides, whether 1960s orange adorning the MiB offices or New York's 2012 neon nights, the entire array of colours play with the sort of natural balance only found in the best of the A-list transfers. Black levels are superb, shadow detail is faultless, and flesh tones are true. (5/5)

AUDIO:

Men In Black 3 (MiB 3) arrives with an aggressive and enveloping DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless soundtrack. From the outset, listeners will enjoy a full, seamless presence. Music flows from every corner with a natural balance and authenticity, with potent bass. Laser shoots across the room with pin-point accuracy. Dialogue is clean. There are also many lovely songs in this soundtrack, including the title track Back in Time by Pitbull. It sampled Mickey and Sylvia’s Love Is Strange. For those of you who also do line dance, you will instantly recognize that tune as a line dance song, choreographed by Rachel McEnaney. In this movie, you will also hear clips of many oldies, like A Summer Song by Chad & Jeremy, and Pictures of Matchstick Men by Status Quo. A great and enjoyable soundtrack. (5/5)

MOVIE:

Agent J (Will Smith) travels back in time to 1969, where he teams up with a younger version of Agent K (Josh Brolin) to stop an evil alien Boris The Animal (Jemaine Clement) from destroying the future. Not to give the ending away, I can assure you that it will give you a warm feeling when you find out the true relationship between Agent J and Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones). Watch for Emma Thompson as Agent O, and the beautiful ex-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger as Boris’s girlfriend. (4/5)

TRIVIA:

It has an estimated budget of $225 million, but grossed $624 million worldwide. MiB 1 grossed $587 million, while MiB II grossed $425 million!

FINAL THOUGHTS:

When MiB 1 first came out, I had a chance of visiting Universal Studio in Orlando, Florida, and participated in then new MiB thrill ride. There you were housed in a space vehicle with 5 other people. While you flew in space, you encountered aliens and you have a “laser gun” to shoot at the aliens to gain points. Guess what, at the end of the ride, I came out dead LAST in points in the whole group. And the two sweet old ladies in the front row even beat me! Such sweet memories of MiB.

Completely disregarding the existence of the forgettable first sequel, MiB II, MiB3 comes out of nowhere and really ups the ante, giving it a coherent and complex story, lovable original characters, a great big heart, and a whole lot of fun. Men in Black 3 is the franchise's best. Only making it better is this near-perfect blu ray set. Both the video and audio qualities are nearly flawless. The ending is heart-warming. Don’t bother with the 3D version because it is only very ordinary. This 2D set is lots of fun and highly recommended.

It was nothing like the other 2 not enough goofy aliens.Big disappointment, I think they should have quit after the first, that was the best

These three actors have managed to add fresh and even more thrilling emotion to the MIB effort. Great Storyline - with great twists!

We loved this movie!! A bit concerned as sometimes when there are so many sequels the movie suffers not so with this one.We enjoyed it from start to finish !

This third movie in the MIB series outshines the previous two, which were wonderfully funny as well. Definitely worth watching!

I have enjoyed the first two but this one seemed same old same old. Nothing really new, I think it may be time to adventure off in a new direction with this one. I felt that there should have been more aliens in the movie and better story.

one of the better sequels to come out of a trilogy... better than the second movie... explains a lot from the first movie as well...

After seeing MIB 1 and 2 and being a little disapointed with #2, we were surprised and happy with the way MIB 3 unraveled the story of before and after the first 2 films. Also, we liked how the "mystery of K" was rervealed and where J came from.

We can count on these movies for all the emotions and a great story line. Love the reoccuring characters for aliens and the crime fighting weapons. 3 fantastic actors who despite some of their diffrences work very well together.
