I bought this book after seeing it on a number of different lists that included other books that I had really enjoyed. However, this book was a colossal waste of time. The plot is very contrived, the characters are very one dimensional, and I guessed the "surprise ending" before I was even half way through the book. This book doesn't even qualify as "mind candy" in my view. If you are desperate for a beach read that you can leave behind at the end of the holiday, by all means read this book. Otherwise, consider this a waste of a day that you will never get back.
