The best is great, but it's few and far between,

This review is from: Innervisions (With Orig. Art) (Audio CD)
Watching BET's Walk Of Fame tribute to Stevie the other day inspired me to write some reviews here.
I don't have the "perfect" view of this album that most Stevie fans have. Aside from Living For The City, Higher Ground, and Jesus Children Of America there isn't anything I like on this album.
There is just something about Stevie's languid, rather sappy, elevator-music ballads that I can't stand, and this cd has a bunch of them.
Having said that, I absolutely love the great stuff on this cd, with Jesus Children Of America being the highlight for me. That alone makes it a disc worth owning, to me. Overall though, I think I am going to look into getting that multi-disc Stevie box-set that came out a few years ago or whenever it was. There just aren't enough Stevie tunes I love per-disc to make buying all his albums worth it to me. I don't own any of those "greatest hits" types of box sets but depending on whats on that multi-disc Stevie set, I may buy it.
