I bought Video Studio Pro X4 Ultimate after trying the on-line demo that worked unbelievably well but didn't have the features in the Ultimate version for image stabilization that are useful when using small hand held video cameras. The colour correction feature worked well, the audio envelops worked, and the video editing playback was smooth unlike other programs. The MP4 compression was very good and a small test video uploaded to Facebook with no problems. The painting feature was neat because you can show the process of creating your sketches in a video, The audio was good but the effects were very weak so good original audio is needed. The program really chokes to a crawl when using the built background music synthesizer while trying to edit the audio.. the music has to be added in last.

I tried to uninstall the on-line demo because I bought the boxed package with the extra features and the on-line demo would not uninstall from my computer and I had to reboot my computer because the uninstaller crashed. The decision to buy the boxed version was based on the on-line demo. The boxed version would not install on my computer and that was a very bad sign that product was a bad choice.

I have started getting error messages about a missing dll in Windows and I believe that it was caused by trying out the Corel Video Studio Pro X4 demo

I recommend that you try out some of the other packages out there because this product did not work directly out of the box and I am going to try and get my money back.

Buyer beware, if it seems too good to be true, it might be as it was in this case.
