The title appealed to me: as an practicing researcher and specialist in building envelopes I buy pretty much any book on the topic that looks hopeful. Although a very nicely produced book, the content is very light, with little actual facts or information. Some neat case studies with good photos, but no indication of cost, or performance, or construction issues, just lots of descriptions, performance aspirations and beliefs. If you like coffee table books on buildings and building technology this book is good to have. But if you want information, to get ideas based on real performance, you will likely be as let down as I was.
