This review is from: The Last Boyfriend: Book Two of the Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy (Roughcut)
I so agree with a previous reviewer about Nora's books. I have been reading and buying everything Nora Roberts has written since she first started in the early 80's. I loved her books back then and even when she grew outside the typical paperback romance genre I loved the books. However for the pass 2-3 yearsat least the love for her books is no longer there. And I really couldn't put my finger on why I no longer enjoyed her books maybe it was me maybe I just tired of her books maybe the characters are moreorless the same all the time. Maybe the suspense book is basically all the same. Maybe she no longer puts as much effort in doing anything different. Maybe it's all auto-pilot now. This series has not interest me at all the first book was ok but the ghost blah blah blah who cares the hotel with the naming of the rooms after great couples honestly I didn't realize that that was what was going on until they said Eve&Roarke which is rather lame since she created this couple but anyway. The first book I could read but the 2nd book was so dull I could barely finish it. This series is not good but the series aren't anymore as the last series on the wedding theme was not great either. Yes the bad mom bugs me as it's always the mom it seems. Even the J.D. Robb books are running out of steam and I have loved those for years and to be honest I would be more excited about a new death book then the Nora Book. I'm sure I will continue to buy her books as I am very loyal but do I enjoy them the same most definitely NOT.
