Well done - but not for teens ...,
This review is from: LA Noire (Video Game)This is an excellent game for adults: great 1950's music, authentic cars, amazing acting, well designed face animation and a large and detailed city (as well as rooms, environments, etc.). The controls are easy to learn and manouver. The different stories are solid.
The reason I gave this game 4 out of 5 stars is because, although there's 20 plus missions, some missions do get repetitive. In addition, it seems that no matter what you do, you always solve the case. You have 3 options when interacting with suspects, witnesses, leads, etc. - truth, doubt and lie. Even if you get everything wrong, you still solve the cases. I wish that wasn't so - i.e. if you don't get the right clues, you can't finish the case.
This game is not GTA 4. You can't go shooting, kiling, driving erratically, etc. throughout the city without negative consequences. If you don't like investigating, looking for clues, interrogating, driving responsibly, then this game is NOT for you. It's definitely a mature, well done, game - kind of reminds me of MAFIA 1 but from the perspective of the police (as opposed to the gangster). Well done Rockstar! Well done.
