Calling all Celiacs~ A Must Have!, July 10 2012
This review is from: Gluten Toxicity (Paperback)
Wow! I am so very thankful Shelly has taken the time to write this amazing book. At our home we refer to it as the 'bible' and reference it very regularly. It is one of those books that is a must have in your library and I mean it when I say that. Dealing with Celiac Disease can be very overwhelming, and the information available out there is enough to make you want to give up and read nothing. I found this book "Gluten Toxicity" to be exactly what I needed, it answered every quuestion I had and provided me with much more about the disease and diagnosis that I was facing. It is a book that I read daily when I was first diagnosed and three years later I still feel that I could ready it daily and learn an abudance from. I am now learning & experiencing that Celiac Disease is a journey of ups and downs, one year you feel great and the next you feel as though your back to square one, symptoms and all. I espeically use this book when I need to be refreshed because as with anything in life we tend to get into a rountine and need to check back in on how we feel and what is and isn't working, this books guides you through that and more. Finding medical doctors who really understand Celiac is hard and frustrating, I find you go in circles trying to explain how you are feeling and often at times you feel as though you are thought of as a hypochondriac. Shelly gets us Celiacs because she is one, so she writes this book from experience which is what I am finding out are the best resources, people who live with it! I feel confident when I recommend this book to my fellow Celiac's because not only does Shelly have personal experience with Celiac she is passionate about helping others feel their best when confronted with this disease. Shelly's expertise working as an RN, B.Sc.N also gives her the medical background needed for ensuring overall health is acheived with Celiac Disease. If you are newly diagnosed or have been living with Celiac for years please take the time to read this book, it is a ongoing gift you would be giving yourself. Thank you again Shelly, I am so very thankful & greatful that this book was brought to my attention. You are making a difference for people suffering from Celiac Disease, I hope you know that. Cheers,
