To anyone who bought the original album this so called updated version will probably be a big disappointment. I have heard of updating an album to improve the sound, or to alter the songs slightly or maybe even add some new tracks, but that is not what this is.
About the only track that I found palpable was Bittersweet Samba. The other songs for the most part are unrecognizable.
I think re-recording the songs was a good idea, but it has gone to far away from what Herb Alpert's fans liked and it sure will not be bought by the younger generation.
