I recently picked this up because the back looked interesting. For the next two days the only time I stopped was for eating and school. This book is amazing! If you like Iris Johansen then you'll love her. With werewolfs, ghosts, vampires and pre-naturals this book has it all and she writes it beautifully. Her story follows Alexia Tarabotti, who just happens to have no soul. Vampires, ghosts and werewolfs are known to society but not very accepted, but still wealth and class rule. As Lord Maccon, a werewolf, alpha and local BUR agent can attest. When Alexia is attacked, all hell breaks loose as a clay-faced man is seen stalking her, events unfold as the conspiracy widens. The story is character driven but a sprinkle of romance and a dash of steampunk, the dialogue is informative and believable and the character interaction, along with their personalities is well-played and interesting. If your looking for a novel to reinvigorate your human or other soul you MUST read this one!! fanstay
