This review is from: The Dancing Girls Of Lahore (Hardcover)
Louise Brown's book is true depcition of life in the brothels of Lahore. Her heroine Maha is more than real and so are other characters in the book. That she is not an intruder or fixers of their lives is evident from her desciptions . Yet her empathy to the lives of her charaters and her intimate knowldege of what goes inside their minds and souls makes it an outstanding treatise with out being scholasitic. I have yet to read a better book then her's on the subject. It would make an excellent documentary movie
