This review is from: Fifty Shades of Grey: Book One of the Fifty Shades Trilogy (Paperback)
I don't see the big deal about this book, I am afraid. Initially, I thought this was going to be a great read. When I reached the end I had read enough about sex in every imaginable position. I was more interested in the characters by about half way through. How would they develop? I think the book is very commercial and I think it is cheap leaving a really predictable cliff hanger ending. I am in no way tempted to buy the other two books. It is like a bad version of "Twilight" written for commercial purposes only. I don't mind the subject of a book, as long as it is a good read! Original, intelligent, grabs your attention, etc. This was a fluffy, Hallmark type novel. My grandma used to read them....... They just need that Fabian guy on the front cover and the girl in a low frilly top!
