"budget" version of 'mac's greatest?, Nov 5 2005

This review is from: The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac (Audio CD)
i personally feel 'mac have yet to produce a feasible greatest hits, you have this version or the previous '90s compilation or you have "the chain", the 2 former compilations are a bit like budget versions, whereas the latter (the chaim) is your "luxury" version, however, i would not really class it greatest hits as such, a lot of it is unheard of tracks. i personally am more interested in 'mac's best songs, not their single releases. for me, this should include performances from the live album, such as "rhiannon", "fireflies" & "farmers daughter" as well as "sisters of the moon", "gold dust woman", it would also be nice to intersperse this with some early 'mac/peter green tracks, including concert versions, perhaps combining the artist's solo tracks, ie christine's single successes, lindsey's solo tracks &, etc, their must be in the archives some rare versions, having spanned such a long, successful career. i think also, following the success of "say you will", they are set for a new compilation? am i right?
