3.0 out of 5 stars entertaining, but it only entertains..., Dec 25 2009
This review is from: God Hates Us All (Paperback)
This book is a good extension of the TV show, but comparing this book to works of Bukowski, John Fante and Dan Fante is like comparing service of a sex worker to a night with the soul mate.

It's funny and witting, but ultimately lacks depth. There are a few discrepancies between the book and the show. However, it portraits a self-loathing and debauched Hank Moody extremely well.

I highly recommend this book to any fan of the TV show, but you want to read something to get your brain blown away, just pick up a novel or poetry collection from Bukowski, John Fante and Dan Fante.
