Thank you, Commander Dey!,
This review is from: How To Be A Bush Pilot: A Field Guide To Getting Luckier (Hardcover)How To Be A Bush Pilot does not read like a standard manual. It's more like a coming-of-age novel. Bush Pilot, a dude who's an okay, earthbound lover, goes on a quest of discovery with a wry instructor, Commander Mistress, and (spoiler alert) gains his wings. (Of course, as the he learns new techniques, so do we, as readers)
Dey's writing is beautiful. The exchanges between the Bush Pilot and Commander Mistress are so sharp that you'll almost certainly find yourself sharing them with your real life partner ('Just what's so funny over on that side of the bed?') Dey's raunchy yet incisive humour sets the right tone for candid chats about topics that are often awkward to broach ('Are you interested in having a ...'?).
When I finished How To Be A Bush Pilot, I felt like sending Claudia Dey a 'thank you' note. If you want a sexual tune-up (and, let's face it, who doesn't?), I can't recommend this book highly enough.
