I love this movie - it is one of Kurosawa's best. Unfortunately, this DVD doesn't play on some players, including mine (Panasonic). I bought 2 copies - both wouldn't play, and Criterion later told me that "High & Low" cannot play (for now) on my DVD player. Buyer beware.
