The remixing and mastering is top notch. If you had this
on vinyl back in the day....buy this to relive the experience.
This is the real McCoy! I was lucky, had a coupon and got this
from a good retailer in Toronto....less than $15.00 tax in!
The guitar work shines through and the vocals are clean and
up-front. The whole packaging job is right on. This is worth
the best price you can get from the Amazon system. A great gift
for someone that you like, this Christmas season! Trust me on this.
The reviewers before me should get the credit...they get it!

After many years of too quiet sounding versions of this album , AQUALUNG , finally gets the sound it deserves.
YES , it is louder / cleaner and clearer than anything that had came before it. BY FAR.
Proving , once again , that you can make a great sounding louder CD with out compression over load.
This remasters sound engineer , STEVE WILSON [from the band , Porcupine Tree] seems to get what the people who made the PINK FLOYD [James Guthrie] , BEATLES , GENESIS remasters seem to get. Make it LOUDER but not too much louder.
The new stereo re-mix is just stunning.
The result is the best sounding version of the regular CD for AQUALUNG , ever!!!

For older folks, if stereo sound systems was the thing to have when you were
young...well, this one for you;
Remastering! the absolute heaven to hi-fidelity...well, I don't know if that's true
when you play with the old analogue tape master after 40 years! they degrade too with time...! same for Jethro Tull Aqualung or Pink Floyd Dark side of the moon...
I have to admit that this one is very good and more loud(in a good way) but, I won't throw away my 1996 remaster version of Aqualung either...nice to add an extra
cd of more songs of the era...but prime price is once again ask by the records cie!
the music business with the cd (and super rock group like JT)is over and the mp3 download is hi-infidelity if you have a very good sound system...well, each "my generation" as is thing... enjoy Aqualung and a whisky, while you can...Cheers!

Fantastic work done by Steven Wilson, by keeping the original recording feeling, he was able to bring to the front the acoustic instruments that we could not hear before. On top of that, the flute sounds less edgy and the vocals became more clean and easier to understand.
Another good thing on this package is that the "extra" tracks were put on a separate CD. Some really good gems there too.
A must for any Jethro Tull fan.
