Absolutely Exclusive, Oct 14 2000

An exclusive album. First I was worried it had no music, but the voices and the entire composition are so great that you do not even realize it has no music. The Du muesstest jetzt hier sein (You Should Be Here Now) and Sie will mich (She Wants Me) are extremely beatiful lyrics. The most unusual songs are Mein Hund ist schwul (My Dog Is Gay) and Bella ragazza (Italian Beauty). The first one is sung in a classic choir style that brings, along with the text, a lot of irony to the song. The second song text is an incredible mixture of German and Italian (I did not think these two languages could be mixed so effectively). In two words, a German is inviting an Italian girl to fly with him to Germany to make love in Tauterburger Wald (the forest where, by the way, many centuries ago took place an outrageous and historically important battle between the Roman and Germanic armies. In the end the album has another piece of beautiful lyrics Gefuehl (Feeling) that, in a certain way, summarizes the entire impression of the album which is great, smart, very funny, and with a bit of extravaganza. I would recommend it to everyone who is interested in modern European music.

I really love this CD! It's a MUST for any Prinzen fan. I really love "So Viel Spaß für Wenig Geld", "Doris K", and "Meine Welt". I think it's the best of their albums I've heard, easily.

The "musical" version is also fab, Oct 10 2001

I've already written a review for this item. The reason I am writing about it again is that I got the original version of this album from Amazon.de. It is as fabulous as the capella version displayed here. I do not agree with the other reviewer who said this album sometimes sounds bare. It absolutely doesn't. It is much greater than let's say the capella version of Das Leben Ist Grausam. The first song in the "musical" version (which has a yellow booklet, not orange) starts with snoring and then all of a sudden turns into singing and music play. I'd love to recommend to all who likes this capella album get the other version. Also, note the new album called "D" was released in October. You can hear it at Amazon.de (just click on Germany at the bottom of this page). I think it is going to beat all other albums by this group.
