Book Description
The Wine Lover Cooks is a cookbook that begins with a bottle of fine wine. It's truly a grape lover's book, with information about which wine to serve, wine as an ingredient, and lots of information about the grapes and wine itself. Each chapter introduces a different type of wine and includes a variety of tempting recipes. If you have a good bottle of Pinot Noir from California or Oregon, for example, you can look up the appropriate chapter and find a selection of recipes to suit the character of the wine, such as Chicken Breasts with Truffle and Fontina, or Porcini Risotto. The book contains chapters on white wines, red wines, dessert wines and fortified wines, including classic favourites such as Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, as well as lesser-known varieties such as Nebbiolo and Sangiovese.
