Leaks and leaks. No I don’t put them in the microwave. I make sure that the seal is on properly. I spent a great deal of time ensuring that these bottles are clean and well taken care of and functioning properly before I’m ready to feed my baby and no matter what I do they end up leaking. Would Be A 5 Star Product If Markers Didn't Wear Off

The Playtex brand of bottles (both Nursers and Ventaire), are really good quality bottles for your money.

I started out using the Nursers (drop in liners) but the cost quickly added up. I then purchased the Ventaire since I already had nipples, rings, and caps, which work on both types.

I like the Ventaire because they are fairly easy to clean, but mostly because my son didn't have any gas issues using these. I did not have problems with leaking like other people do. I make sure the bottle, bottom, and seal are completely dry before assembling. I also don't heat up the disc so bad that it warps, no dishwasher and I very rarely sanitize by putting them in boiling water. I never had to replace the discs. I also like that the bottles are tilted. To me I never understood how a completely straight bottle would be easy for infant feeding. Two relatives also used these bottles with their children, no gas issues with the babies or problems with the bottles themselves.

The only thing I do not like is that after about 3 months of use (using 10 bottles) some of the markings wore off, which is an extreme product flaw since you need accurate measurements. Of course you can measure water into something else, but that is inconvenient, especially with a hungry crying infant.

I do still recommend this product. I just hope Playtex will make more permanent markers in the future.

Leaky bottles

I did not enjoy using these bottles. They leak milk or water or both all the time from the bottom, made my hands sticking and leaks on my baby. I followed some reviewers advice to remove the bottom and clean/remove access liquid but still continues to leak. I stopped using them right away and bought a different brand.

These were perfect at first. But as my baby got through with transitioning from the breast the bottle just kept getting harder to get milk out of the nipple. My baby was sucking away and then start screaming and I thought it was from teething but it was because no milk was coming out of the nipple. I even tried and couldn’t get anything out. I had to constantly unscrew and let air out to get the flow going. That’s a pain in the middle of the night. Cleaning...easy to take all the pieces apart but milk does get crusted in the lining of the nipple and the ring that sits at the bottom so double check those after washing.

Hard to clean but good for colic

This is a great value set but we’ve had the following problems:
- They come with 6 parts in all which makes them a pain to take apart, put together and clean
- The small rubber insert for the bottom part of vent seems to get loose or lose effectiveness after a month or so
- Sometimes they can leak from both the top and bottom parts
- When you heat them in water or a bottle warmer water inevitably gets trapped between the top and bottom parts that screw onto the bottle and water leaks out when you start feeding (the water doesn’t go inside the bottle, it’s in the outer components)
- The rubber pieces & nipple have a yellowish cast after only 2 months of use and with sterilization
- The cap goes on the end part during feeding for extra venting which makes it wobbly when you set it down, the bottle is easily knocked over
- Plastic is thick and heating the bottle takes extra time compared to the Avent bottles

The good things?
- Does seem to help with gas a bit, allows air to flow out the end of the bottle
- Easy to hold, good shape
- Not expensive

Overall this is a good set if you want something inexpensive, but I found that all the time you spend cleaning all the elements of these bottles and putting them together/taking them apart really adds up, the Avent bottles have 4 components (bottle, nipple, screw top, lid) and work just as well.

We started with the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles, which worked well at first. Until during a late night feed she started falling asleep and choked on the milk. The Slow Flow nipples are a little leaky/poury, the milk would often leak from the corners of babes mouth, cleaning was kind of annoying- all the little parts, and you need a scrubber. I could keep going but I'm sure you get my point. It was time to try something new.
So i decided to check these bottles out, with the variety nipple pack, and oh my god the difference!!! The "breast shape" nipple- her latch is amazing! Doesn't leak from the sides of her mouth, have to make her de-latch as if it was a real boob, barely any burps, eats slower and definitely is getting a better fill, the bottles are super easy to clean, you can hear the bottom vent working as babe eats, and if she starts to fall asleep- no choking. Milk stops coming when she stops suckling. Seriously in love with this bottle! And the fact they offer a variety pack of nipples?! I mean come on... that's just genius.

These leak! Can't use bottle warmer

Pros - the angle of the bottle makes it easy to feed a formula fed baby in the more upright position.

Cons - can't use bottle warmer, it blows out the ventaire discs/seals right away. More parts to take apart and clean/sterilize. The caps are difficult to pop of the top compared to other bottles. Hard to pour into if you are right-handed. Measurements are hard to read if you are trying to track how much you're baby is having (not good for newborns). Don't find the flow as slow as nuk bottles.

Overall, these bottles only lasted 2.5 weeks, very disappointed. Have switched to nuk and super happy with them.

These bottles leak,they are not good as soon as they are disassembled and washed you'll never be able to use them again. Cannot carry in a baby bag they wet all your suff it's a mess.

These bottles leak like crazy from the bottom! I would not recommend them. The nipple is so flimsy that it collapses while the baby is drinking. Sometimes it even leaks from the nipple as well

Great for maybe the first 3 uses, we loved the shape and design and then milk began leaking everywhere. They are horrible! The bottom gasket became warped from washing and our bottle warmer. We had to completely get rid and recycle the entire bottle because you can not buy just the rubber piece needed for the bottom of the bottle. I would not recommend!!! Formula and breast milk are too important and expensive to have it pour out of the bottom of a bottle.

The measurements on the wrong side

The only thing I dont like about these bottles is that the measurements are on the wrong side. It's hard to pour water with my left hand. If your left handed this bottle will work for you. The old bottles were perfect they had the measurements on the back so it worked for right or left handed people. I seen other reviews that the nipples werent good but I havent tried them. I ordered medium flow nipples that's what I needed. I was just very glad that the old nipples are compatible with these new bottles.

I Like the slow suction but the silicon nipple for the new bottles is too soft so my son cannot suck on it coz in goes inside the bottle. Very disappointed! Make Them Sturdy like before and you get your 5 strays review
