I bought this repeater cable because my DAC is 30 or 32 feet away from my computer. At first I tought it was OK. Then I notice a hiss in my speakers. After that I tried a simple USB extender (meaning it has no repeater). And the sound became better! No hiss. So if you were about to buy this for you audio equipment, I'd say : don't.
