It's been almost 3months since I purchased this engenius router. After 2wks of installing this product we started have problems.
Our wifi cut off numerous times and I had to call TW to figure it out wether it's our cable problem or not.
TW cable even sent a technician man to diagnose our problem but he told me the router has weak signals. lol
We still have same problems with wifi and this engenius router is blinking a lot.
Wish I could return this item or wouldn't purchase this brand...

5.0 out of 5 stars A refreshing break from Linksys March 13 2012
By Mark Muehlbauer - Published on
I first became interested with Engenius after buying a PCI based WiF card for a specialized use.
Recently purchased this router as I do a lot of small office / home office (SOHO) IT work and wanted something with better WiFi coverage. The wireless in this unit has excellent range. I have been unimpressed with Linksys' new form factor which have no external antennas. Also, Linksys E series have small changes as you go up the numbers whereas this unit has an excellent feature set for the price without nickle and diming you along.
Setup is easy. The user interface is fast, intellegent enough for a WAN DHCP setup, but not in your way when you want to setup the device manually. Layout of the UI makes sense and with the fast responsiveness of the router setup is done in no time.
In short, a great alternative to Linksys with more bang for the buck than any other Wifi router I have found.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very long range, strong yet very stable signal everywhere in my big house! March 24 2012

I have been using Enginus wifi adapters for many years. I was very happy with Enginus's long range wifi adapters. Never tried Enginus Router before until recently.
I have a quite big house. I have tried many routers from D-Link, Linksys, Netgear and Baffalo, NONE OF THEM WORKED FOR MY HOME. There were always dead spots in the home. After I installed this Enginus N Router, all dead spots are gone. The wifi signal from this router is so strong, I don't need to use any wifi repeater anymore. This router also has two removable antenna, the antenna included with the package is only 3 db, I replaced them with two 7db antenna. Worked perfect.

Setup for My Slingbox was easy. I did not change anything, just used the default setting, the slingbox was connected to the net.

Comparing to my high priced Netgear router, this one seems very stable. The wifi signal is very consistent,no signal break at all. Great value and great quality.

This is the second of 3 routers that I have purchased, and still the one I use. It is okay, but tends to lock-up the internet signal, making it annoying to have to keep going up to the 'signal icon' on my computer to check connection. The main problem, I have learned, is that when the neighbors switch on their routers, the computer reads those 'alternate' signals, locking the signal from this unit.

However, it has worked better than two other routers with better reviews on Amazon, and has lasted a year. I would like to find something better. It is also a pain to set-up. It took me an hour-and-a-half to figure out the problem I was having. Not really user-friendly.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolute Junk Dec 1 2012

Purchased one in October and signal strength was horrible, around 60% standing next to the router! Contacted EnGenius to complain about "High Power" claim and they sent me a new one. Problem solved thanks to their awesome customer service department and it worked great... One month later, it's DEAD! Router will not even light up. En Genius makes some awesome long range business class WiFi devices, but this is absolute junk. Either invest in the business class devices or buy something else (like a Cisco (Linksys) product). Very disappointed!
