The bulk of the book is the stitches dictionary and they are broken up into categories: Knit-purl, Crossed stitches and cables, Slipped stitches, Lacy stitches, Double stitches, Twisted stitches, Cast-off stitches, and Fancy stitches. A color guide assigned to each category helps you to find the section you are looking for quick and easily. The swatches of the stitches are bright and very clear. There is a written instructions for each stitch but best of all, at least in my opinion, each one is charted as well. You will LOVE this feature, especially if you want to try your hand at designing knitting patterns. Or if you want to take your knitting to the next level and learn how to read knitting charts. At the back of the book, there is a symbol key section.
All in all, this is a really handy book and definitely worth its price and spot on my "keeper" knitting bookshelf.
