My initial reason for buying this router was to "test" wireless routers. My plan was to try all wireless routers since I want the best coverage w/ the max. speed. This linksys wireless router was my first buy and I'm hooked~! I didn't bother trying out any other routers.
The setup took less than 5 mins. Using the installation CD is the BEST way. After the configuration, I was able to surf the web wirelessly immediately. The coverage is incredible. I placed the router in my basement where the office is at. I am able to get 80% signal strength on the second floor~! I am surprised that this router perform so well considering that I live in one of those colonial style houses where the house tends to have higher ceiling. In addition, I was able to get connection in some parts of my back yard and front yard. So, I am able to enjoy the sun while surfing the web~!
Overall, I am very satisfied with this router and consider my [money]well spent. I would recommand anyone who wishes for a wireless network to try it.

First, if you are thinking about going wireless, it is well worth the investment. I am writing this review on my back porch, and it is so nice to enjoy the fresh air while still working!
Second, I highly recommend going Linksys. I am a computer programmer, but am by no means a network person. However, within minutes I was up and running and I am quite certain that anyone with moderate computer skills can get it up in the same time frame.
I can directly contrast my experience with my boss's experience. She bought a Siemens, and in my opinion, it is far inferior to the Linksys. I helped her set it up, and it took me well over 2 hours to configure everything via their web functionality. Whereas the Linksys web functionality was straight forward and very slick.
To sum, I highly recommend this product.

The install CD worked great even though I was connecting through a router and that wasn't covered. It posted all the information to the router and all I had to do was access the router, click on PPOE connection, and enter my username and pasword.
After that it was easy to change the wireless security settings in the router. I didn't have time to restrict the wireless connection to specific MAC address, though.
Initially I got 80% signal on my laptop but a small change in antenna orientation boosted that to 100% send and receive.
I'm happy with the router, happy with the ease of setup, and very happy that Linksys's power supply is not a "barnacle" and uses only a single plug in my powerbar.

I purchased a Linksys Router and Notebook Card because I have a cable modem that is downstairs, but I use the computer upstairs. There is no jack upstairs and I didn't want to pay for one. This product works perfectly with no loss of speed. It allows me to take my notebook all of the house. Linksys' Tech Support ... to the max. I called them because I thought that I had a problem installing the software (Had I read the manual....). I was told that I needed to take the product back to the store because it was defective! I eventually, (you guessed it) read the manual, figured out the problem and it has been working very, very well. I'd recommend this product (Minus Tech Support) to anyone.

I just got the adapter with the wireless dsl router. I had little trouble installing the router and adapter (on windows 2000 machine), just had to find the right cable connecting to the dsl modem, and only got a BLUE SCREEN once. I was exciting for 2 mins after connecting to the wireless router but then my connection dropped. I was then able to establish connection but only got 1Mbs. I have my dsl router in the living while the PC is on the second floor. So now I guess I will just run the wire from the second floor to the living room.
I'm glad I got the router and the adapter from amazon so I can easily return it.

This product worked as advertised. Setup was easy and straightforward. Performance of the wireless connection throughout my 2 story house and deck area is good, with wirelss speeds well above my DSL internet connection. Hardwired connection works great.
One problem I've had is with my 2.4GHz cordless phone from Panasonic interfering with the Wireless connection. I have to disconect the power to the cordless phone to avoid interference/dropped connections. Linksys recommends selecting channnels to avoid conflicts, but the phone autoscans for the best channel...

I am so dissapointed to say I have to returen the wireless router and cards I ordered. I spend a whole day trying to hook it up to my dsl. After I tried everything, I turned to the Technicle surport for linksys. I was told the model I ordered(advertised to be very easy to hook up) isn't compible with my Aol dsl. So I have to return them. I called, but fail to remember the address to return it. And I don't know why should I pay the shipping for that? It is not my fault.:(

Had the configuration gone as instructed, this would be a five star product. "Can't connect to PPPoE," was the order of the day. Linksys tech support (hats off to, btw) had me deeper under the hood than the manuals illustrate. If you're frustrated, I hear your pain - but look at it this way... You're learning!
