You simply can't go wrong with this classic. I was especially pleased that the bonus features were every bit as entertaining as the movie itself. They include a behind the scenes glimpse into the process of stop-motion animation, and unique interviews with several famous sci-fi/fantasy directors who were inspired in their early childhood by this groundbreaking, painstaking work of art. This movie is a must for any fantasy, sci-fi or animation video collection.

Reviewing this because this was always my favourite Harryhausen claymation fantasy movie when I was a kid. And you know what? It's still great, even thought my wife thinks I'm nuts. Wonderful soundtrack by Bernard Hermann. Great new high quality BluRay, though be prepared to see all the little warts that BluRay resolution reveals in the video... ah, who cares!

I loved these films back then... seeing if in blu-ray really brings out the meh!
Its so grainy even in brightly lit scenes, as if someone left dirt or pepper on the camera lens.
Still, this is a classic.
Enjoy!
