He's a bit young to read and understand the content right now but I look forward to reading it to him and explaining the really important concepts within when he's a bit older. He loves the illustrations though so that's a great start! I personally think there are a lot of adults out there that would benefit from reading this too. Highly recommended!

I bought this book for my sons and felt compelled to write a review after reading a kneejerk 1 star review here from someone who hasn't even bothered reading it.

The content is innocuous, there is nothing political in there. It's just a book promoting good values. The art is impeccable and the message is good; for me, those are the most important aspects I look for in a picture book for my kids.

However, the downsides are that the words are far too advanced and mature for the age group and that the rhyming is not always great (or even good some times) and the amount of syllables in the rhymes is often off too.

It's worth picking up the book if for nothing else than to own it for when it's inevitably banned because of the author's politics.
