S. A. Snow’s “Across Worlds: Collision” is steamy and perfect, especially if you like both M/F and F/F action! Usnavi, the leading alien of the novel, is capable of changing sexes and this makes for some hawt encounters! I loved this book – couldn’t put it down. Very sexy and also a great storyline. Kind of a sexed up version of “Calculating God” by Robert J. Sawyer. A really great, complete, standalone book. Also, strangely, if you suffered through morning sickness and other pregnancy woes, there’s a little bit of turn-about-is-fair-play in this book on that count! Amazing!

A Molly Lolly Review
Four Stars
When I read the blurb for this book I was intrigued because of the fact that one of the characters isn’t male or female. I love books with characters that aren’t a binary gender. So far I’ve only read ones like this where it’s science fiction. I liked how she differentiated the gender pronouns for the aliens. It made it easier to know who was doing what. It’s one of those things that can get confusing if it’s not done right. I was curious how Jane being a CIA operative on the ship. She was good at pretending to be lost and confused so often I believed her too! I was shocked when Jane found out what Usnavi did before she arrived on the space station. However the plot twist that brings about was amazing! I enjoyed this story immensely and hope more with these species comes later.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book; science fiction/fantasy is not a genre I typically read. It requires a level of suspended belief I am not usually able to attain, but in this case I was able to go with it. The sex scenes are well written and plentiful, and there is a good supporting story. Although the element of suspense could have developed a bit more, I still found it an entertaining read and would recommend it to both existing fans of the genre and those willing to give something new a try.
