HASH(0x9d367630) out of 5 stars Excellent. Brings agriculture out of the field and shows how science affects our food supply June 6 2014
By Tom Rozak - Published on

Very readable and understandable analysis of the trends that affect agriculture today. The author's discussion of the "Non-science" movement is especially insightful and provides examples of how today's eco-movement promotes the rejection of science and provides examples of the daily harm that this rejection creates. To counter this, the author encourages us to embrace science and shows several clear paths by which today's science and technology are providing the opportunities and the means to sustainably feed future generations. His world is an optimistic and bigger world.

I just finished reading the first chapter, "Non-science." There are many major claims about the non-science contingent, but not one single citation to support any of them. Where is the science to substantiate the non-science statements? Interesting topic regardless, and a worthy debate.
