Product Description

All the Little Children is a novella that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Ben and Cara Barlow move into a beautiful Connecticut Victorian home to start the next phase of their lives together. They are thrilled with the home's beauty, location and price, so they move in right away. When strange things start to happen to Cara, Ben tries his hardest to be supportive. They call in a team of paranormal investigators, and the home's grisly history, and occupants, past and present, engage in a battle to the death. Will Ben and Cara reclaim their dream house, or will the evil within those walls take everything, including their souls? A short novella at approximately 20,000 words.

THIS WAS A VERY WELL WRITTEN BOOK WITH A LOT OF CHILLING SITUATIONS. THE CHARACTERS WERE ALL SO LIKABLE THAT YOU WANTED THE BEST POSSIBLE END FOR ALL OF THEM. THAT WAS NOT TO BE. THIS WAS A STORY WITH A REALLY GOOD TWIST AND THINGS HAPPENED THAT YOU JUST COULDN'T BE PREPARED FOR. THE ENDING WAS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE READ IN ANY HORROR BOOK. NO HAPPY ENDING BUT LOTS OF SUSPENSE LEAVING AN OPENING FOR A SEQUEL. THE AUTHOR HAD THE TALENT OF MAKING A FAIRLY SHORT BOOK READ LIKE A FULL NOVEL. THERE WAS SO MUCH CONTENT THAT KEPT YOU WANTING TO READ MORE. I HONESTLY COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. THIS BOOK WAS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF "WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!" I WON'T SAY MORE BECAUSE I WOULDN'T WANT TO SPOIL IT FOR OTHER READERS. JUST REMEMBER WHEN YOU READ THE BOOK THAT I WARNED YOU. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO ENJOYS A GOOD HORROR STORY AND REALIZES THAT A HAPPY ENDING IS NEVER A GUARANTEE. ENJOY!!

HASH(0xa17fccc0) out of 5 stars A True Horrifying Tale Jan. 20 2012
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
All The Little Children by Christine Sutton is a well written horror novella. However, I have found some grammatical errors, though there was not enough to destroy the overall impression of the book. Anyway, in this book it is about a couple Ben and Cara, who buy a new home to begin the rest of their lives together. They purchase their new home from an agent named Sunny. Unfortunately, Sunny soon dies in a mysterious car accident.

After that tragic event takes place weird things begin to happen. Ben and Cara begin arguing with each other for no reason-each one has their suspicions against each other. Cara begins making dark paintings and Ben begins to work late hours. Cara begins researching the house after a surprise encounter from an old woman and nothing will ever be the same.

HASH(0xa17fcd14) out of 5 stars Dark and Raw Horror July 19 2012

This story started out with the reader knowing more than the main characters as many stories do. I found myself thinking things like, "no don't go in the house" or "No! Not the basement!" but of course the characters always do (there would be no story if they didn't!). What I didn't expect though was how quickly I would be sucked into the actual telling of the story. Somewhere between the beginning of the third chapter and the end of the fourth chapter I slipped into reader mode and forgot that I was supposed to be reviewing this work. To me that is the sign of a wonderful writer. I read tens of thousands of pages a year so when one comes along that sucks me in I am always impressed!

What unfolded, very quickly, was an intriguing story of a haunting. The action grew in a crescendo from small, somewhat familiar occurences in a beautiful old house, to exciting and definitely scary scenes that revealed the secrets the victorian residence guarded. The pace of this story was brilliant and I found that I lost track of time as I raced to try and solve the mystery of the antagonist before the characters in the story. When everything did unravel, I was definitely surprised by the twist at the end.

It was clear that Mrs. Sutton did her research before writing this piece. Her understanding of technical terms as well as religious rituals and gods and goddesses was impressive. All in all, she delivered a well thought out story with excellent pacing and an original take on the traditional haunted house story. I would definitely recommend this story to anyone looking for something a little darker and raw. I will absolutely read more by this author.

Ben and Cara thought they had found their dream home. It had spacious rooms, a beautiful garden and it was in a nice neighborhood. It was the perfect place to raise a family and grow old. They even bought it below market price. It also came with some extra perks ,"on the house"(if you catch my drift).

Try as you may, you are not going to figure out this mystery. If you are like me, and avoid predictable books, then you are going to enjoy this story. Ms. Sutton's characters have depth, and I found myself at time empathizing with them. Her style and quality of writing improves with every new release. I have become a fan and will eagerly await her next release. You WILL enjoy this book.

HASH(0xa17fcee8) out of 5 stars Bring on the nightmares! Jan. 31 2014

I like scary stories and horror novels; I've been reading them since I was a kid. Even when I find a story very interesting it almost never creeps me out after I put the book down. I don't usually have nightmares. If I dream about something that should be scary or would terrify other people, I wake up amused or occasionally annoyed. This story sticks with you. I started reading before bed last night, had a true nightmare, and woke up scared. Well done!

Scary! I wish it had been longer and I hope there will be another book or novella that picks up where this one left off. If you like horror/possession stories you should read this one.
