My car mechanic in Kalispell-Montana prompted me to look for a herbal/nature cure for AD.
When I returned to Canada that's exactly what I did within 2 days.
On 1st November 11pm, I searched and researched on the internet for nature's cure for AD for my husband Lorne, 76 yrs.
I stumbled upon Dr. MARY NEWPORT'S website.
[Lorne is a retired scientist. He taught Math, Chemistry and Physics for 30 years. He has won the award of excellence for 30 consecutive years. Lorne is a person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Lorne has too many skills.]
Up to 1st November, Lorne's physical and mental condition was plummeting uncontrollably. I am a medical professional. Hence I have a wide medical community across the world. Frustrated and distressed, I had reached out to every person who could help Lorne.
No sooner I read a fraction of Dr. Newport's narration on how she treated her husband with coconut oil, it was midnight, yet I made an omelette with 3 tablespoons of coconut oil, woke up Lorne, explained and explained why he should eat it. Next morning I added the oil to Lorne's porridge. At lunch time, I added it to his yoghurt. At suppertime, I added it to the pasta.
3rd Nov I added the oil to the porridge. Around noon, Lorne announced that he was going for a bath. About 30 mins. later I felt like someone was at my back. It was Lorne. He was dressed up to go with my neighbour to get his new pair of hearing aids. In shock, I asked him how he got out of the bathtub. Since June, Lorne's health was spiralling downhill. Each time I had to help him out of the bathtub with great difficulty because I am a petite 4'11" @ 125 lbs and Lorne is 220 lbs @ 6'.
Lorne said he felt he had renewed energy and a strong will to get out of the bath by himself to surprise me.
This incident led me to Amazon to order the paper-back book. Impatient to wait for the book to arrive, I ordered the book on Kindle. OVERNIGHT, I read word for word. Dr. Newport's narration on the decline of her her husband's health was surreal.
To understand the case history of Steve Newport, all I had to do was replace STEVE's name with LORNE.
To understand Dr. Newport's agony, struggles, and success was easy. I am living a similar life. [I am 62 yrs].
Her narration unfolded before my eyes, as though I was walking in her shoes.
After reading the entire book, I added the 4th dose of oil closer to bedtime. On 13th morning, Lorne woke up 2 hours earlier than normal. He said he felt like he was back in time by at least 3 years. 15 minutes into 14th dawn, just before bedtime, I made Lorne draw 2 clocks. Just like Steve did the 3rd time, Lorne meticulously drew the two faces of clocks I requested.
I compared it with Steve Newport's drawing drawn 2 weeks after the coconut oil therapy. See Pg 71.
A month ago, the Home-Care Nurse visited to assess Lorne. Lorne's hand's were shaky and the drawing of the clock wasn't as clear as the images of 14th. I will get the image from the nurse to compare in order to write another review.
The drawings are a great indicator that THERE IS HOPE FOR LORNE. Lorne is probably at early 3rd stage of AD.
Dr. Newport's book is a life saver. The therapy like any other, may have to be ingested on a daily basis. Nevertheless, it is worth it. As long as the person afflicted with AD does not end up in a vegetative state, it is worth it.
I believe in the many uses of coconut oil. My birth country is Sri Lanka. Literally speaking, we swim in coconut oil. AD is unknown in Sri Lanka. Now I know the reason. I am tempted to buy this book in bulk to distribute to near and dear ones.
Seeing is believing. My neighbours are surprised at the progress Lorne has made since 1st November.
Yesterday he took the time to fix something which he ignored for many months.
If I can send a video of me dancing on the streets with Lorne, I would. It's hard to contain my happiness and excitement on seeing Lorne's overall improvement. I am maintaining a daily entry of Lorne's progress. My end goal is to get a DBS-Deep Brain Stimulation aka battery powered brain for Lorne. Lorne's brain and mind has great potential at least for another 10 years. He is a brilliant man.
I hope that Dr. Newport realizes how her book has impacted our lives and similar lives across the globe.
In due course, I will send my daily entries of Lorne's progress ever since he started ingesting coconut oil.
In Hope I believe. In hope I live.
The author is authentic. The story is real. Dr. Newport gives hope to people with less-hope.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating.
I have bought 5 books in all and given them to friends,
I like everyone else go down Stairs in my house then wonder what I went down for. I am trying the Coconut oil myself and hope it will improve my memory I put the oil in small ice cube trays with shredded coconut and freeze it is just like candy to take very good.
A very good and helpful read and I will pass it on to others.
Thank you Agnes McKellar
