Wish that Casino Royale (with Peter Sellers) & Never Say Never was included in the set. I believe there is also a 1950's James Bond movie with Barry Nelson as James Bond also called Casino Royale, but I can't locate it.
HOWEVER...do not purchase this specific version of the James Bond collection. If you find the other set that also contains all the movies for cheaper, BUY THAT SET. The added benefits of having digital copies is misleading nonsense. I have had nothing but issues with the "digital download" copies.
First and foremost, you are required to watch and download them from a 3rd party app aka Flixster. Thought you could just download the films in HD and enjoy them? Well too bad. If you want to stream it, you can do it directly form the Flixter website or app, but my god...the streaming is a joke, especially compared to Netflix and other streaming services. It is shoddy, slow, choppy, and worst of all it claims to be HD but I could never get Thunderball to run beyond SD. It looked like garbage, especially when 10 feet away I have my HDTV with the Bluray. What's the point if the digital version isn't going to be on par with the bluray?
Secondly, if you wish to download the films, you have to DOWNLOAD Flixter onto your computer and THEN download the films. Even when you do download them, you think you can just find it in your directory and play it from VLC or another media player? NOPE! You can only watch the downloaded film through Flixter...even though its already downloaded on your computer. Think iTunes for videos except 100x worse.
Avoid this version of the set at all cost, unless you're getting it for roughly the same price (the poster booklet is actually quite nice). But it is definitely not worth spending $20+ more on this version when the digital downloads are half-baked nonsense.
But, if you are wanting to buy this, I would just wait until the price drops a bit. I got it on sale here for $99CAD, but I wouldn't spend the regular $175+ on it. The other set that is available, the white coloured one, is cheaper ($75-$99) and is basically the same thing minus the bonus disc, the booklet and the digital downloads, and features slightly different packaging. The bulk of the special features are on the individual discs themselves, not the bonus one. But if those extra things are all must haves for you, than sure get this particular set, but don't spend full regular price on it, wait for it go on sale again.
My set came with the UPC code 88390433436150. Please note that there is no indication on the outer packaging that the UV code is included. You will find the code for UV Digital HD redemption on an insert in the package. It is one code and it redeems all the movies in one easy transaction.
The movies are essentially the same as released previously except for some new bonus features. I sold my Bond 50 and got this set to get the digital versions plus Blu Ray for less than what the digital versions cost by themselves (at the time of this writing).

Good transfers to Blu-ray. Packaging is good, especially that they were clever enough to leave a tray for the latest film, Spectre. Read morePublished 4 months ago by Daniel Noël
