UPDATE: I was sent a replacement product from Anker. This new one is working perfectly. I am very happy with their excellent customer service. I'm able to say with confidence that anyone buying from Anker will receive a good product and if not, this will be resolved quickly.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I bought this and have been using it for over a year.

I am disappointed because it works okay with some devices but not others. For example, my iphone for example won't charge with this although it used to. Now, my iphone will only charge with certain wall chargers or when connected to my computer. I don't know what this means; maybe this Anker charger is not giving my phone enough power to charge properly.

Like most people, we've got a lot of devices around our house. Instead of having several charing bricks taking up our outlets, we've decided to centralize everything to a cupboard and we bought this unit to sit in there. Right out of the box, I was impressed by the build quality of it. It certainly feels like a quality product, the USB ports are sturdy and hold on to the cables well.

Performance is excellent, it charges everything properly as you would expect from Anker. The only thing I wish this came with is a little stand to prop it up. We ended up velroing it to the cabnit to keep it up right, which works well, but a stand would make it a lot easier for using it on a desk or something.

Overall, highly recommended. If you've got lots of different devices, maybe with different charing cables, you might need one of their units with even more ports, but 5 seems to work fine for us.

I am using this to power Raspberry Pi devices. So far so good. I only have 3 devices plugged into it right now, though. Two more are waiting to be setup and plugged in. Ultimately, it will be powering 3 overclocked headless Pi 2s (that's what's in there right now), and 2 factory headless Pi 3s once I get the Pi 3s setup. If it starts heating up with all 5 devices plugged in, I'll post a followup stating it probably can't handle being filled with Raspberry Pis. (may work short term but not long term - that sort of thing) Requirements per Pi set up as a headless device are pretty low, though (under an amp even for the 3) so I expect this little charger to work just fine. In fact I might have a better experience than some people with really hungry phones.

I do wish this device had some sort of a power switch, though. I've worked around the lack of one by plugging it into a power bar. It appears to have a huge transient phase, judging by how long I have to wait for the Raspberries to start booting. If someone from Anker is reading, I have a question: Is the device supplying random power during its transient phase or does it wait until it's ready? Obviously it's intended to just stay on all the time so I'm wondering about this.

With many people each using multiple USB devices, you can end up with the kind of mess that I had in my kitchen prior to buying this product: "where's my charger for product X?", "did someone take my cable to charge product Y?", "I'm unplugging your phone so that I can charge mine", "there are not enough outlets in this house... buy a new house!" (yes that last one is real).

I purchased PowerPort 5 and it has solved these problems wonderfully.
*One charger. No more losing, moving, swapping, plugging, unplugging chargers. All gone: leave the Powerport 5 plugged in and done.
*Takes up only one outlet. No more new house with more outlets ;)
*Small. Sits on the kitchen counter, takes up very little space.
*Quick charging. We have noticed no slowdown charging phones, cameras, bluetooth headphones, speakers, you name it.
*No noise. Some reviews mention a high-pitch coming from the device, but I cannot confirm that. My device has no noise.
*Comes with long cable. But for the kitchen counter situation, the simple cable tie does the trick and keeps the cable out of the way.
*The device does not seem to heat up, even when charging 4 devices at a time (I have not tested 5 devices at a time yet)

Problem solved! Great product for a good price.

One note: this particular charger does not support Quick Charge 2.0. For me right now this is no problem because none of our devices uses QC2.0.

I was not sended a Sample products and this is a unbiased review

This charger is one of the chargers I own. It charges faster than the other chargers I have and the charge seems to hold longer than the others. My PowerHub is working great right now and no issues the USB Ports are Spread out Perfectly compared to other products and doesn't get Hot only warm to the touch when charging 5 Device at a time letting me know this will not burn down my house.

I can only think of Pros for this Product and Serves Good for Charging your Everyday Products Fast with out QuickCharging from Qualcomm I'm sure it will be even Faster for QuickCharge Compatible Devices

Good Job Anker! Please Continue making Quality Products
