What a clever book! The first half is basically a flashback to a time 20 years earlier, when Janice MacDonald's amateuur sleuth Miranda "Randy" Craig was a still a graduate student at the University of Alberta. Flash forward to present day and an old mystery (and a fresh corpse or two) rears its head just in time for the big campus reunion. There is a lot going on in this book for lovers of academic mystery, of Canadian literature, and of MacDonald's unique talent for mixing goosebumps with guffaws. Highly recommended!
By the way, Amazon's listings for the books in this series are a bit of a mess (especially in the Kindle versions) and may be causing some confusion -- two different books are identified as #3 in the series, two others are both listed as #6, and there is no #1. I've tried (without success) to get them to fix the numbering, so for readers who'd like to work through the whole series in the correct order, it is:
