This album somehow manages to sound both stunningly similar to their intimate live shows and tastefully produced as a studio album. Jon Middleton's eloquent songwriting and guitar work fuse seamlessly with Roy Vizer's unique percussion. The album feels endlessly natural, and sounds better after each listen. Any fan of acoustic, folk, or even reggae or jazz will not for a moment regret buying Another Noon.

HASH(0xa2ee1a20) out of 5 stars Beautiful album - Thank you Canada! Feb. 20 2012
By Runningwithwolves - Published on
I completely agree with the first review below. I keep up with the CBC Radio 3 podcast (the website is also great) and recently streamed a song by Jon and Roy. Absolutely beautiful, leading me to Amazon and the band's website for more music. A couple songs sound ever so slightly like early Mason Jennings, but this is a different band and a completely different sound. Jon and Roy make music that envelopes you with warmth like your favorite winter sweater - but it's equally as wonderful during a lovely indian summer.
The band's website currently offers a couple of free downloads for the newest album - also wonderful! There is a huge amount of great Canadian music out there and it just keeps coming! This is the type of album that can be savored while relaxing at home but is also great as background music while reading or working. Thanks Canada!

HASH(0xa3524f18) out of 5 stars Best folk album I've heard for a while... Dec 16 2008

Definitely the best album I've heard in 2008. Jon and Roy plays this kind of warm music that makes you feel right even in a cold morning of November. The guitar, the voice, the lyrics, everthing is well done. I've been waiting for this kind of music for so long. I listen to it over and over...
