Although the DB2 was originally designed for outdoor use it has quickly become one of our most popular indoor antennas due to its small size and extraordinary gain. The bowtie design provides strong gain across the entire UHF spectrum and it functions incredibly well in areas where a low profile antenna is required. In fact the DB2 was recently named "The highest performing indoor antenna"from HDTV Primer. Range 1 - 30 miles distance

I now enjoy 14 drop-out free HDTV channels from South Burnaby, British Columbia. I live in a town-house community. My antenna is set up on a stand indoors next to a south-facing window. When I need a bit more signal, I put the stand outside on my balcony. It is, by far, the best antenna I've purchased so far! It is relatively small and does not look too out of place in my living room. Shipping was fast and on time.
I have tried 4 indoor antennas before and the DB2 is the best so far, with the other antennas I was able to get 7 channels (I live in the south shore of Montreal), with the DB2 I am getting 6 more channels. What I really like about this antenna is you can move it around your room to get the best signal, something that was not possible with the others. I made a wooden stand for the antenna and I purchased 25' of RG6 cable. The antenna rests at the top of my entertainment center most of the time but if I want to get all the available channels (13 so far) I can move it easily by the window, the best place. The antenna is easy to assemble and the quality of the components in my opinion is not bad. In resume, I am quite happy with this purchase.
Who needs cable when you own the DB2 Multi Directional antenna! This antenna provides me with crystal clear HD reception that's equal to, or better than, cable.
I read on the internet that these antennas could pull in better-quality HD pictures than cable or satellite. I was skeptical, at best. So I went to the website for HD antennas to see which antenna would be best for my area (Montreal). They suggested the AntennasDirect DB2 antenna. When I saw it on Amazon.ca for only $38, I figured it was worth a try.
WOW!!!!
It took exactly 45 seconds to put together (2 screws - that's it!!). After I connected it to the "antenna/cable" jack at the back of my HD television, I set the TV to automatically "find channels" on the antenna.
Within 5 minutes, without even aiming the antenna at any specific direction, the TV pulled in 8 channels, including CBC, CBC french, CTV, etc.
The quality is AMAZING!!!! The best HD picture I have ever had or seen!! Better than my Videotron cable subscription for HD, better than satellite HD. While watching the Golden Globes, I could see the pores on the winner's face!! Of course, you only get 8 channels in Montreal with this antenna (you get various number of channels in each city, using an antenna, based on where and how many channel broadcasting antennas there are). But I cancelled my videotron subscription, I now watch only Internet TV on my television, and now I have 8 local channels in HD for FREE.........you heard me - NOTHING. It cost me $38 for the antenna, and now the 8 HIGH-DEFINITION channels I pull in with the antenna are FREE.........FOREVER.
Stop paying for cable or satellite, if you don't watch a lot of TV. Buy this antenna, and enjoy local HD channels for FREE - with a HD picture that is absolutely amazing. Then buy something like "Boxee Box" to watch internet on your TV. And you'll save the entire cost of cable or satellite TV. I just saved over $2000 per year.
Perhaps it works better in the attic which I don't have. I installed mine under the work-bench and it's not any better than the rabbit ears it replaced. My sister has one and it works great for her. Different location though.
